Josh BrandonSenior Talent Manager
Music Industry Management & Artistic Development 2009
I began my career selling vinyl I’d produced and manufactured directly to record stores when I was about 15/16, studied Music Tech at college and then came to the University in 2006. I continued to run the record label through my time at university with it growing over the 3 years and the genre of music I was in exploding, Dubstep. I began to manage and publish some of the artists signed to the label as their careers grew, until eventually management took over.
While at University, I also did an internship and later part time then full time work at a leading Dance record label, as A&R, promotions and events manager. Leaving both record labels to concentrate on management after finishing the course in 2009 and after trying out a couple of different office and joint venture situations, I moved my company into Insanity Group in 2012 and am now a Senior Talent Manager there as well as continuing to run my own company under the group. I currently manage a number of artists from a double platinum, international chart topping DJ duo, to singers and bands. I also currently study on The Henley Business School’s MBA programme for Music & The Creative Industries.
I chose to go to Bucks to learn about the thing I was most interested in and was already fully committed to working in, from people who had already achieved a high level of success and experience within the industry.
